.
2. How do I apply for ISWiB 2010?
You need to fill out the application form, and then send it to apply@iswib.org

3. What are the requirements for applying for ISWiB 2010?
All who apply for ISWiB 2010 have to be 18 years old by the time the festival begins, as well as registered students at one of the European educational institutions. In addition, they must have a fairly good command of both oral and written English.

4. I am not a student - can I apply?
No, you have to be registered at European university as a student in order to apply.

5. I was not born in Europe, but I live and study in Europe now. I would like to apply for ISWiB 2010 in order to broaden my horizons in terms of European culture and developments - can I apply?
Yes, you can apply. Every student who studies at a European University may apply.

6. Country where I study is not a member of the European Union - can I apply?
Yes, you can apply. Every student that studies in Europe can apply. (Europe within its geographical borders, not political.)

7. I study in Serbia, but I do not live in Belgrade - can you provide me with accommodation?
Participation fee of 40 euros for Serbian students invited to participate, does not cover accommodation expenses. This means that students from Serbia have to find accommodation in Belgrade on their own during the festival (beyond accommodation space that will be used by ISWiB participants). Participants from Serbia who do not want to be separated from other participants or cannot find other accommodation, will be stationed in a hostel together with all other participants for the full participation fee of 80 euros.

8. What happens after the application?
After the application deadline (April 1st), a comission consisting of at least 4 members of the organizing team will go through all applications and decide who will be invited to come to ISWiB 2010. Because we receive at least twice as many applications than the number of students we can invite, not everyone who applies can come to the festival. Soon after April 1st, we will send out personal invitation letters to all who will be allowed to participate in the festival, and at the same time, a short notice will also be sent to those who did not quite make it this year.

9. How do I apply for a VISA if I need it?
If you have received a personal invitation to participate at ISWiB 2010 you should apply as soon as possible. We are able to provide you with information on how to apply and help you with the requirements for the visa application, but you have to apply yourself. Additional information about the VISA application can be found here.

10. What will my expenses be?
You will need to pay the participation fee that will cover food and accommodation in the amount of 80 euros (40 euros for students from Serbia), as well as the expenses of travelling to and from Serbia. Personal expenses and pocket money (which covers optional events, additional parties, entrance to the museums etc.) must also be covered by you.

11. Can I join ISWiB 2010 with a friend of mine?
Unfortunately, we cannot make any guarantees that your friend can come too, since we choose our participants based on the application forms we receive.

12. What do I have to bring with me?
It would be great if you could bring traditional clothes and music from your country of origin so that all can get to know different cultures better. Optionally, you can also bring traditional food and drinks for the country fair.

Since the festival will be held in the beginning of summer, do not forget to bring your swimming suits because you might get a chance to swim in the Sava river. Due to the dress code at certain lectures and panel discussions, we would be very grateful if you would bring some classy clothes as well.

13. When can I arrive to ISWiB 2010?
We can guarantee for your stay during the festival itself, that is from 11th July until 18th July, 2010. Should you like to come earlier or stay longer you will have to arrange for food and accommodation yourself.

14. Do I have to speak Serbian to participate in ISWiB 2010?
No. English language is the official language of the festival. Due to the nature of the activities organized during ISWiB you have to be able to communicate in both spoken and written English.

15. Where can I get information about how to reach Belgrade?
All the information on how to get to Belgrade can be found in the travel section of our website.

16. Could you send me the names and contacts of other participants so we will travel/apply for visa/play checkers together?
Unfortunately not. Because of privacy reasons we do not give out personal information about any participants. If you would like to get in touch with fellow participants, use the ISWiB forum at http://www.iswib.org/forum/, which will start working soon after the application process is finished.
